A streetcorner in northwest Austin. It could be any city, anywhere, but for the sunsets in that area..a smooth gradation that emphasizes the dark silhouettes of trees and buildings. This is a triptych, 5 feet across. (click to enlarge, click again to enlarge further)

Blue Bridge, Victoria

Two light-hearted paintings on their way to Victoria’s Red Art Gallery. I love the vintage “Bear Wheel Alignment” logo, so cheerful. Seemed appropriate as the bridge is more or less being ‘realigned.’ The big counterweights almost look like living animals. The second piece, “Victoria Morning,” was inspired by a fresh spring morning walk into town from the Vic West side.
